ACCOUNTANT ROLE

Economic Management Service is a thriving tax and accounting business on the Mornington Peninsula. An opportunity now exists for an accountant with strong technical skills to join our team.  Our success is due to the relationships we have with our clients, and the personal service each client receives.

Job tasks and responsibilities
This role will suit someone with a minimum of 5-10 or more years’ experience.  Responsibilities include:

• Completion of client income tax returns; all entity types
• Preparation of financial statements
• Prepare BAS and IAS
• Preparation of personal tax returns for clients
• Meeting clients face to face, and managing client relationships
• Provide supporting documentation and clearly articulate and prove how certain figures/outcomes were achieved and why
• Access ATO portal for client information and BAS lodgement
   

Skills and experience

Ideally you will have substantial experience in:

• All elements of accounting, bookkeeping and tax, servicing small and medium businesses
• MYOB, Xero and Quickbooks systems
• Establishing and maintaining client relationships
• Dealing with ATO correspondence
