About the role:

A fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing cloud based accounting firm located in Mermaid Beach as a Accountant. 
The firm is currently experiencing significant growth
Reporting to the Senior Manager you will be responsible for completing the work delegated to you by the Senior Manager.

As the Accountant you must be technically proficient and up to date with developments in taxation law and accounting standards, systems and processes.

The Accountant will take full responsibility and ownership of the completion of allocated jobs and is effectively responsible for managing their own workflow under the direction of your Manager.

More specifically, you will:

• Performing all compliance and value add work as required to a quality standard
• Preparation of individual, company, trust, partnership tax returns with limited supervision or direction.
• Solid working knowledge of GST, Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements.
• Preparing of work papers, analysis of client data and transactions and setting up accounts onto the accounting package in accordance with the organisation’s standards.
• Detailed knowledge of tax office correspondence and procedures
• Displays a detailed understanding of company secretarial matters such as lodgements, fees and general requirements.
• Administrative Compliance
• Internal training primarily focused on maintaining technical knowledge in relevant area of expertise
• External training focused on the development of more specific technical knowledge through seminars and workshops

About you:

You will have good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with your team and clients is essential if you are to be successful in this role. 

You should be passionate about client outcomes and the cloud!

You are someone who can is accountable to ensure they are meeting your KPI’s such as productivity and job budgets.

You will have a good ability to manage your own workflow to ensure job turnaround in the timeframes allotted.

In short, we are after a Accountant who can manage your daily activities to achieve KPI's etc as well as build and foster strong relationships with staff and clients.

Key requirements:

• Has the ability to speak with clients across a variety of industries and backgrounds
• Has a CPA / CA or is working towards
• Applicable years experience in a professional accounting practice
• Good technical tax compliance skills and knowledge
• Bachelor of accounting or other related
• Ability to build, manage and maintain client relationships 
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise work duties to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication both written and verbal
