Geofabrics is looking for an experienced Accountant to join the Finance team as a Maternity Leave Cover. The role will be fixed-term, full-time, and will commence in March.

Our ideal candidate is someone who has previous experience in a similar role, has a can-do attitude, and is excited to grow and develop their skills in a new role.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintain the integrity of the inventory system.
• Assist with stock takes and establish variance reports.
• Manage fixed assets and hire equipment.
• Maintain supplier agreements in the ERP system (we use IFS) and issue purchasing reports for key suppliers.
• Produce and distribute periodical reports to stakeholders.
• Manage General Ledger – including reconciliations, accruals, rebates, royalties, and commissions. 
• Assist with inventory management and provide branch support.
• Assist and coordinate the annual audit process.
• General ADHOC duties, as necessary.

Your experience:

• 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
• Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting.
• CA or CPA qualified (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.
• Highly developed computer skills – experience using SmartSheet and IFS highly advantageous.
• High attention to detail, and well-developed analysis and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and a proactive approach in all job-related activities.
• Must have full working rights within Australia, with no restriction.
