From commercial fit-outs and building developments to residential new builds, installs or renovations, we have the glass product or custom solution to suit specific needs.

Our expert team of glass specialists also provide a range of cutting, wholesale supply and glass installation services to all industries. We work in close partnership with architects and builders to cover all architectural glass requirements, providing samples, offering technical advice and more.

About the role

Position: Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Accountant with strong skills in reporting to assist senior management in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data. You will oversee accounting procedures and prepare forecasts, budgets and risk analysis. You will be part of the finance team, providing advice on strategic and business planning and advise the CFO and Directors on financial implications of our business decisions, as well as financial planning and risk management

Role is reporting to the CFO

This is a challenging and a hands on role that will have direct exposure to all areas of the business. Key duties will include, but will not be limited to;

  1. Review, develop and manage the company’s financial systems, financial models and reports to provide reliable and useful financial information and KPIs to the directors
  2. Manage daily financial tasks, including ongoing review of cash flow and business transactions
  3. Provide financial support and recommendations to the management team, which include budget control and financial planning
  4. Identify trends and opportunities for improvement, identify and manage risks, monitor and enforce compliance
  5. Participate in company’s monthly and end of year process and production of the monthly/annual financial statements including ledger balancing, balance sheet reconciliation. account analysis and summaries, asset reporting, variance analysis and reporting
  6. Assistance with Payroll when required
  7. Preparation and lodgement of monthly GST returns, Payroll Tax returns, 
  8. Ensure that overall Company costs are effectively tracked and contained within budgeted amounts and report variances if any
  9. Assist in managing statutory and internal audits, preparation of Annual Tax returns.
  10. Assist managing the Imports by constant liaison with Overseas Suppliers and the Custom Agents in Australia, Taking up visits to overseas suppliers when required.
  11. Assist managing Insurance, Work cover and Superannuation
  12. General administrative duties

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate must have prior experience in a similar role, Self-motivated to work in a very busy and change-driven organisation aiming for growth. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is an excellent team member. In addition, the candidates with fluency in both English and Chinese will carry a distinct advantage as most of our Raw materials are imported from China and the role is expected to liaise with overseas suppliers constantly and regular overseas travel.

  1. Bachelor Degree (or higher) in accounting or finance
  2. At least 2 years’ experience in the similar role
  3. Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  4. Working experience in MYOB accounting software would be desirable.
  5. Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge and skills.
  6. Attention to detail, Ability to manage multiple tasks, Accurate and efficient data entry skills
  7. Experience in liaising with various stakeholders, in Australia and Overseas
  8. Willingness to take up overseas travel when required
