About the role

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join our Perth team. Reporting to the GM Norwest Group Logistics and the CFO Norwest Group, the Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Mange the bookkeeping input requirements for NGL Projects business¬†
  • All facets of Accounts Payable/Receivable functions
  • Manage the Cash Flow process, reconcile bank accounts, monitor, and maintain debtors within credit terms, and propose payments as directed
  • Oversee NGL Projects credit card transactions
  • Maintain mobilisation and asset registers as required
  • Monitor insurances of suppliers
  • Month end duties, including financial reporting
  • Maintaining up to date records
  • Ad hoc administrative and accounting duties as directed by Norwest Group CFO

Ultimately you will provide accounts and administrative support to our team and ensure all daily procedures run smoothly as well as ensuring accounts are processed in a timely and efficient manner.

To be successful for this role you must possess the following:

  • Completion of an Accounting Degree.
  • 2+ years' experience with a solid background in Accounting and Financial processes.
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial control processes.
  • Exposure to foreign currency conversions and accounting essential.
  • Highly proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite of products, with advanced knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets).
  • Proficient in MYOB accounting system
  • Being deadline driven with exposure to a project environment would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with team members.
  • Ability to work through processes with a methodical approach concurrently with attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills with ability to prioritise tasks
  • High level of integrity and a proactive approach in all job-related activities.
