The Accountant administers high quality management and financial reporting and provides specialist interpretation and advice to both internal and external stakeholders. The position assists in managing the integrity of data through compliance with relevant legislation, verification of general ledgers, reconciliations and general ledger reviews and provides specialist interpretation and works closely with the finance team to provide a critical service to the Institute.
The successful applicant will coordinate day to day operational financial activities to ensure financial documentation is properly authorised and raised in line with policies and procedures. You will provide specialist interpretation and advice to internal and external stakeholders and resolve discrepancies. You will support and maintain the organisations procurement activities to ensure effective, efficient and value add procurement oversight, sourcing and contract management. To be successful in this position you will have an Accounting Degree or working towards an Accounting Degree qualification and relevant experience; or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience and specialist expertise, or broad knowledge in accounting; or a suitable combination of relevant qualifications and experience and high levels of advanced excel capability.
