Employment Status: Full Time

We are an established accounting firm on the Kapiti Coast looking for an experienced Accounting Technician to join our close-knit team.

This is a full-time position (circa 30-40 hours/week).

Much of the work will be at an intermediate level and will include preparation of financial statements, GST, income tax, payroll and ad hoc work and will be working alongside our experienced qualified team.

Key tasks include:

• Preparing of clients Annual Accounts 
• Preparing Income & Expenditure statements and Income Tax Returns and thereon 
• Processing clients GST & PAYE returns and advising them 
• IRD queries 
• Liaising with management and colleagues.

Skills & experience preferred:

• Sound Accountancy knowledge
• Xero Experience
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Motivated and pro-active team member with desire to achieve results and use initiative
• Excellent communication and customer service skills 
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to new systems
