Accounts Admin / Grad Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within an Iwi owned organisation for a passionate individual looking for a role with purpose. This organisation makes a real difference and have optmistic plans for the future of how they could revitalise and improve the health and well-being outcomes for their community.

This role has the potential to be tailored for the right person - whether you are an experienced accounts administrator or a graduate accountant - but the key is that you'll committed to and actively engage with their cause. The role will initially be oriented around supporting their accounts team with accounts payables and receivables processes. Depending on your career objectives the role could be shaped around you with time, and you will also be encouraged to actively participate in other activities within the office that may push forward their cause. Debt collection will not be required for this role, but given you will be liaising with a broad range of internal stakeholders from their development team to their relationship managers you'll need to be a confident communication and require fantastic English communications skills - being familiar (or fluent!) in Te Reo would be highly favourable.

To be suitable for this role you may bring a significant amount of experience in accounts administration or be recently degree qualified in Accounting, the experience isn't crucial for this role. What is vital is that you will be an empathetic and socially conscious individual who would be delighted to work for an Iwi based organisation that works to improve the health and social wellbeing outcomes of the local community. Whilst being of Ngati Toa descent isn't essential this would be looked upon favourably.

In return you'll get an opportunity that doesn't come around too often - a role tailored to you and working for an organisation with purpose. You'll share your working days with colleagues that are incredibly passionate for their cause and be able to contribute and put forward ideas. You'll work for an organisation that doesn't necessarily have defined career paths but in fact encourages you to forge your own way in the organisation.

All inquiries and applications to Archway Recruitment are treated in the strictest confidence. If this role sounds like you please contact Matthew Greenwood at Archway - e-mail [email protected] with your resume, cover letter, and academic transcript if applicable. If this opportunity isn't for you but you are interested in new roles please feel free to be in touch - I may have other opportunities more suited, or I'd be happy to keep an eye out for more relevant roles in future for you!
