SGB Group is currently seeking a Full-Time accounts assistant who will be joining our team in Botany. This position is commencing ASAP with training for the first 3 weeks available.
About the role
This role reports to the Accountant of the business. Duties will consist of the below but not limited
- Weekly bank and debit card reconciliations
- Processing accounts payables invoices and matching them against their Purchase orders (If applicable) or to each work site/project
- Reconciliation of suppliers statements
- Assist with accounts receivables
- Assist with payroll processing
- Processing of weekly payment runs
- Ad-hoc accounting functions as required
The Candidate
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Finance or similar function
- You will have at least 5 years of relevant experience in an SME environment with a strong knowledge of accounts processes and procedures
- Must have previous experience with Xero accounting software
- Experience with inventory systems is desirable, but not essential
- You will have the ability to work autonomously and also in a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic team member
