About the business
We are a well-established Logistics company which has been operating for over 35 years with our head office located in south west of Sydney. We are looking for an Accounts Officer (All-Rounder) to join our team and work closely with the Finance Manager.
About the role
The main duties will include:
- Accounts Payable - Payment of accounts, reconciliation of supplier statements and AP Ledger and processing credit applications.
- Accounts Receivable – allocating receipts, reconciling AR ledger, monitoring credit limits, follow up on outstanding invoice payments and ensuring timely payment
- Intercompany, Supplier and Bank reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Support month end duties including journals, general ledger reconciliations
- Dealing with Accounts Receivable and Payable queries and resolving
- Any other ad hoc duties as directed by the Management

Skills and experience
Essential criteria for the role:
- 1 – 3+ years Account Payable / Receivable experience
- Comfortable with, and able to manage, high volume workload
- A confident communicator and problem solver
- Attention to detail with high level of accuracy
- Be a proactive team member who can help out with various aspects of accounts
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Effective time management skills
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Intermediate MS Office skills – Word and Excel
- Cargo Wise experience preferred
Freight Industry experience is desirable (though not essential)
