The Opportunity

A rare opportunity has become available to join CCSG Group of Companies as the Accounts Officer. Based at our head office in Hurstville, this is a full-time position that offers you the opportunity to expand on your existing accounts skillset while working closely with the Group Financial Controller and Company Accountant.

About you

We want to work with someone who prides themselves on being a team player. With a direct line to our Group Financial Controller, you will have exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to work to deadlines. Experience managing the accounts and administration function is essential for this position. 

About the Role 

As the Accounts Officer you can expect your role to centre around bookkeeping and accounts receivable tasks. The following form the core parts of this role: 

  • Allocate customer payments daily.
  • Validate trust payments daily.
  • Manage banking and deposits daily as per Financial management procedures including reconciliation and uploading to accounting system.
  • Reconcile corporate and legal trust accounts as per Financial management procedures.
  • Remittance and distribution of trust funds as per Financial management procedures and other associated procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate records on accounts and other systems as required including documenting transactions, approvals and customer or client contact.
  • Timely production and issue of client invoices and periodic statements.
  • Monitor and rectify overdue invoices.
  • Provide support to clients on review of invoices and charges.
  • Proactively engage clients on matters that need follow-up and resolution.
  • Manage aged receivables in a timely manner as per Financial management procedures.
  • Prepare reports as required by the Group Financial Controller.
  • Provide back up and leave support to the Company Accountant and Group Financial Controller

Experience and Qualifications 

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role.
  • Booking keeping or financial management qualification (desirable).
  • Knowledge of financial management systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MYOB or Xero.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including Outlook, Sharepoint, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
