Health Workforce Queensland is a not-for-profit Agency focussed on making sure remote, rural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities have access to highly skilled health professionals when and where they need them, now and into the future.
We have a long-standing connection with Queensland’s rural health workforce, general practices, communities, health organisations and other not-for-profits. We have provided ongoing support to for the remote, rural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce for over 20 years.
The Finance and Administrative Services Team are a key Team within Health Workforce Queensland, providing financial and administrative support for the organisation as a whole and also on a Team-based level. The Finance and Administrative Services Team oversee the internal IT system, financial responsibilities including budgets, payroll, accounts payable and receiving, as well as managing quality assurance procedures and contractual reporting requirements
The Finance team are seeking a full time Accounts Officer.
HWQ offers a hybrid working model where your work week will be split between working from home and working in the office.
This role is varied, and fast paced, so we are looking for someone who is able to hit the ground quickly, with high attention to detail and able to balance competing priorities.
You will have meticulous data entry skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be efficient at completing tasks within tight timeframes.
You will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, and you will have an intermediate to high level of competency with Excel and MYOB.
Reporting to the Management Accountant within the Finance team, you will provide high quality service delivery through effective financial and administrative support.
