The Role

This position reports to Director, where you will be part of an energetic and small-close knit finance team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys a very hand on and diversified role. This role’s focus is predominantly AP, AR, assisting with month end reporting, GL + BS recs, bank recs and payroll processing where required. Ideally you will previously worked as an Accounts Officer/Assistant Accountant in a high-volume environment for small - medium sized organisation where you have had exposure in managing all aspects of general accounting.
 
Responsibilities will include:
  
  • Full function AP/AR
  • Month/Year end reporting
  • G/L Recs
  • B/S Recs
  • Collections
  • Subcontractor reports
  • Credit reference checks/credit viability
  • Aged Debtor reports
  • Bank Recs
  • Payroll processing
  • Journals
  • Back up admin duties where required
  
  
 About You

To be a successful in this role you will need to have a natural passion for accounting and providing exceptional customer service and an ability to multi-task. Experience within the Building/Construction industry is ideal, however candidates from other industries are also encouraged to apply. Of primary importance in this role, is a great working attitude.  You will also need to demonstrate:
  
  • Natural self-motivation
  • Experience working within a high-volume environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Maintain a problem-solving attitude 
  • Exceptional organisational skills

  • 3- 5 + years prior experience in a similar role
