ACCOUNTS PAYABE MATERNITY LEAVE CONTRACT

Surdex Steel is a dynamic multi branch Victorian based steel distribution business. We currently have an exciting maternity leave contract available for an Accounts Payable Officer to be based at our head office in Dandenong.

The position involves:

  • Sorting invoices and matching delivery dockets, orders and goods receipts to invoices;
  • Ensuring that invoices are correctly authorised by the appropriate person;
  • Coding and posting invoices into the computer system;
  • Reconciliation;
  • Liaison with various departments and suppliers;
  • Answering of account queries from both internal and external clients
  • Reception desk support

This role will see you liaising with our suppliers and all levels of staff in our organisation. You will act as a back up to other Accounts staff. Providing support to the reception desk is a necessary part of this role.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable preferred but not essential
  • Accuracy in data entry
  • Display initiative, drive and adaptability
  • Demonstrated ability to learn
  • Able to work without supervision
  • Computer literate with intermediate level knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Good communications skills
  • Ability to be organised under pressure
  •
