About the role

We are searching for an experiencing Accounts Payable and Finance Officer, committed to 38 hours per week. Monday-Friday. Commencing early to mid-May, we will provide on-the-job training and handover.

The role will require a high degree of initiative, self-management, attention to detail, and tact to deal with the range of functions and tasks simultaneously. That is involved in the Accounts Payable and Finance function of Grain Trading Storage Administration. 

The successful candidate will effectively contribute to the success of the business by:

• Reviewing and processing a high volume of supplier invoices
• Daily Banking allocating payments & reconciliation, for all accounts
• Management of Online Banking
• Liaising with suppliers to address queries
• Preparing payment schedules
• Oversee the process for growers and service provider payments
• Management of term deposits, cash flow control, transfers, debtors, interest rates, leases, and futures accounts
• Maintaining ledger accuracy & integrity
• Month-end requirements for BAS and reporting.

To be considered for this position, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following abilities, skills, and expertise: 

• Experience working in a full function Accounts Payable or Finance role (3+ years)
• Ability to input and process invoices quickly and accurately
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Excellent level of computer literacy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to details
• Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team
