The Organisation

Our client is an iconic and rapidly growing Canberra based commercial organisation. With a focus on delivering results to their clients and founded on an entrepreneurial culture, this organisation has boasted significant growth in the past few years with further rapid growth anticipated in the near future. They have an office of over 70 staff (and growing), and a culture of high performance and excellence is engrained within the business.

The Opportunity

Working with an organisation with an excellent culture and career development pathways, you will be offered a permanent opportunity to join their accounts payable team. You will be highly appreciated for the work you do as the Directors and the CFO understand the importance of the accounts payable function in the organisation.

The Role

  • Process accounts payable invoices and resolving all queries
  • Process and reconcile staff credit cards
  • Prepare monthly payment runs
  • Reconcile monthly supplier statements
  • Review pending and duplicate invoice reports

As you grow into the role, there will be an opportunity to learn the payroll function.

Your Background and Experience

You will be a high performing, Accounts Officer who enjoys hardworking commercial environments and take pride in their work. You may also be a Bookkeeper who is looking for a change. A high level of attention to detail is essential.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are equally important as being able to work within the team and external stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role.

You will also be able to think independently to solve problems and show initiative.

Experience in the construction industry will be highly desirable but those who have worked in commercial organisations with a high volume of invoices will also be considered.

Salary / Rate

  • $65K - $70K + Super
