Accounts Payable Officer

There is currently an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join the SVHA team located at our Bowen Hills office on a full time basis for a 12 month contract period.

The SVHA Shared Services division provides Accounts Payable, Financial Accounting and Payroll support to all of the SVHA divisions across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor the ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of, and practical experience with accounts payable and purchasing activities;
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and lateral thinking skills;
  • Strong computer skills including an intermediate (or higher) understanding of Excel;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently communicate with suppliers and facility based staff.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Processing high volume of invoices for Private Hospitals;
  • Assigning general ledger codes to non-purchase order invoices;
  • Monthly reconciliations of creditor statements to the creditors' ledger.
