ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SUPERVISOR

The role is based at our Campbelltown Head Office with onsite parking and in walking distance to public transport.

THE ROLE 

We are searching for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our AP team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is a motivated individual who is focused on leading a team to ensure all supplier invoices are processed accurately and paid on time, every time. This will be achieved through sound processes along with coaching and mentoring of the Accounts Payable team in carrying out the day-to-day running of Accounts Payable. This individual also possesses skills in continuous improvement, problem solving and experience in process automation.

Key accountabilities of the role will be assessed through a combination of the achievement of agreed KPI’s, the meeting of deadlines & targets, and the extent to which actions and behaviour resemble departmental and company policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will effectively contribute to the success of the business by:

• Coaching and Developing the Accounts Payable Team
• Invoice entry accuracy and efficiency
• Payments to Suppliers processed accurately on time
• Maintaining Positive Supplier Relationships
• Maintaining Accounts Payable Ledgers
• Month & Year End Close Requirements
• Continuous Improvement of the Accounts Payable processes

To be considered for this position, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following abilities, skills and expertise: 

• Experience leading Accounts Payable (3-5 years)
• Excellent level of computer literacy especially on Microsoft Office packages
• Experience with overseas suppliers and currencies desired
• Experience with process automation
• Understanding of accounting principles
• Proven coach and mentor
• Internal and external customer service and communication skills
• Problem solving & decision making abilities
• Self-directed and self sufficient
• Team player
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
