The Adelaide Showground, a not-for-profit organisation, and Adelaide's premier public event venue, hosts varied events at the Adelaide Showground and presents the iconic Royal Adelaide Show in September.  

We are looking for an experienced, confident and enthusiastic Accounts Receivable/ Administration Officer to join our team.

In addition to your accounts receivable duties, your responsibilities will include being part of a rostered team to maintain management of reception, including switchboard, car park intercom, caravan park guest and booking inquiries.  This role will require weekend work approximately once in each four to six week period. 

This is a part time role for part of the year, extending to full time for approximately 4 months in the lead up to the Show.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Your key accounts receivable and administration duties will include:

  • Perform day to day accounts receivable processes including debt collection, generation of invoices, taking of cash payments.
  • Assist with Membership renewals, including payments.
  • Assist with administration of event licence agreements.
  • General customer service including switchboard duties.
  • Car park intercom and reporting.
  • Caravan park guest and booking inquiries.
  • Provide general administration support to all staff.

You should have:

  • General knowledge of office administration.
  • Working knowledge of basic book-keeping with specific accounts receivable experience.
  • Proficient in excel, word, Adobe, computer data entry and email.
  • Experience with use of accounting software (we use Sage 300ERP).
  • Experience in a cashiering environment is an added advantage.

  • Able to communicate well, both written and verbally.
  • Able to work efficiently and to prioritise and organise your work to manage your workflow in a busy environment.
  • A team player willing to assist other in time of increased workload.
  • Able to work with professionalism that ensures confidentiality and discretion in the work environment.
