Accounts Receivable Contract (Real Estate)

MARS are working with an ASX listed real estate firm, that hold a portfolio diversified across both commercial and residential properties. Having operated within their field for over 60 years, they have acquired assets along the way amounting to well over $10bn in value.

The client are looking for an Accounts Receivable officer for 3-6 months to work in their Western Sydney office. The role has arisen is due to a backlog of debt which has accumulated over the last period due to a lack of resource and focus/shift of work on supporting tenants throughout the pandemic.

Ideally an AR candidate from a retail shopping centre background would be preferred, as they will understand the complexity of these finance processes having an understanding of e.g. gross leases and nett leases.

Key responsibilities include:

• Accounts Receivable & Tenant reconciliations
• Determine the debt owed and breakdown of costings
• Percentage rent calculations
• Arrears control - debt management of tenants both via email and on the phone
• Sales verification and input
• Support in completion of Abatement forms - Landlords need to give rent reductions due to Covid, collate sales information from tenants to determine reductions

Requirements:

• MUST be immediately available or less than 1 weeks' notice
• Hold 3-5 years experience within a similar role - preferrably within a retail shopping centre background
• Experience using SAP is highly regarded
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The individual will be proactive, enthusiastic, friendly and a team player
