SeaLink Travel Group is dedicated to the operation of quality services through our fleet of vessels on the Hauraki Gulf, transporting passengers, vehicles and freight to Waiheke and Great Barrier Islands, as well as a commuter service from Pine Harbour.

Based in Auckland CBD, the opportunity has arisen for an experienced part time (30 hours) Accounts Receivable person looking for the next step in your career. This is a very busy role, looking after a broad customer base, so you will need to be a self motivated superstar and be able to hit the ground running. Working within a small close knit team, you will also be responsible for general office duties such as stationery ordering, bi-weekly mail collection and helping out the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the office. There is also the opportunity to grow in this role and to assist the Financial Controller in the future with wider accounting tasks, so could suit a person currently studying toward a Finance degree.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Credit Control – proactively chasing overdue debts via verbal and written communication to optimise cashflow
  • Accounts Receivable – process small amount of invoicing, issue invoice copies and monthly statements
  • Bank reconciliations – daily and monthly reconciliations of the numerous Group bank
  • Carry out investigations to resolve disputed invoices
  • Proactively provide solutions for customers to achieve the highest level of customer
  • Customer account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of accounts
  • New customer credit checks and account setup
  • General office duties – stationery ordering and bi-weekly mail collection
  • Back up to Accounts Payable

Requirements:

  • 2-3+ years previous Accounts Receivable experience
  • Proven high volume Credit Control experience
  • MYOB Exonet experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management - advanced organisation and planning skills
