About the job:

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and Reporting, this role is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual with a strong customer service lens to join the Accounting and Finance team during a significant period of change. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable team (4 staff) and possess the ability to drive performance and motivate the team to deliver high quality and accurate outcomes.

Key duties include:

  • Management of all fortnightly NDIA and customer Invoicing;
  • Ensuring bank reconciliation and cash receipts are completed accurately and on-time;
  • Administration of the customer management system and supporting the set-up of financial information for billing purposes;
  • Ensuring process for revenue recognition system and process functions are working correctly within business requirements;
  • Liaise with system administrators where required to ensure timely corrections and/or system improvements are developed;
  • Driving the credit control and receivables process;
  • Month-end Debtor reporting & bad debt provision calculation;
  • Key business contact for all invoicing and the NDIS portal (PRODA);
  • Partnering with operational teams to support, educate and troubleshoot issues;
  • Process & Business Improvement;
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Head of Finance;
  • Develop and document written policies, administrative work instructions and training documentation.

What you’ll need?

  • At least 5 years demonstrated experience in a similar role;
  • Strong systems skillset;
  • Self-starter with a proactive nature and a “can-do” mindset;
  • Confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding finance queries;
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work;
  • Creative and solution-focused approach to problem solving, with the ability to use initiative;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Advanced computer literacy skills in particular MS Excel;
  • Experience in NetSuite would be an advantage.
