ABOUT THE ROLE

The Accounts Receivable/Finance Officer works as a member of the Finance Team to deliver a broad range of services to support the School’s educational mission. Within that context, this role focuses primarily on providing Credit Control support (invoicing & collections) for the Finance team, however, can be expected to contribute to other roles and broader reporting and accounting responsibilities within the team structure.

This position is permanent part time (0.6 FTE) with an immediate start.

Some of the duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing of student charges and various payments to family accounts
  • Liaising with parents by phone and email
  • Deals professionally with parents, finance team and school community members
  • Assist the Credit Controller in preparing and issuing Parent Statements
  • Other accounting duties as required

The role requires:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable role
  • Experience in a computerised financial accounting system, with relevance to invoicing, receipting and reconciliations
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Firm understanding of accounting principals
  • Flexibility to work additional days at times and fill in for the Credit Controller when on leave
