Assistant Accountant

Aston Advantage is a national business improvement and recruitment agency who specialise in the mining and constructions sectors. We have the opportunity to hire a Payroll and Compliance Officer at our head office in Highgate.

As part of the Finance team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Payroll | Working with the payroll officer to ensure all 300 contractors are paid each week
  • Accounts Payable | Including data entry and processing payments weekly
  • Client Billing | Processing 250 invoices per week ensuring accuracy is high
  • Debt Collection | Phoning and building strong relationships with clients so that payments are collected within payment terms
  • Bank reconciliation and managing debtor financing facility
  • Assist Finance Manager with end of month processes and reporting including reconciliations and journals
  • Assist Finance Manager with compliance of statutory and legislative requirements
  • Support other members of the finance team with duties

As this is a busy and varied role, the successful application must be proactive, dynamic and looking for a challenge. Previous experience within a similar role using MYOB is also essential.
