EH Tax Accountants is progressive, well regarded and highly successful Tax and Financial advice firm based in Officer, Melbourne.  An opportunity now exists for an assistant Accountant to join our team

We are looking for someone who has a background in Accounting who would like to gain experience working with our SMSF Accountant. You will need to be a highly driven and proactive individual as we deal with a large number of Self-Managed Super Funds.

Responsibilities

• Lodging documentation to the ATO, ASIC etc.
• Being a point of contact for our clients, government departments and others via phone and email
• Data Entry
• Setting up ABN's and Registered Business Names
• Setting up SMSF's, Companies and Trusts
• Bookkeeping
• Preparing Tax Returns, Activity Statements, FBT Returns for SMSF's, individuals, trusts and companies.

About you

• An eagerness to learn and follow our company processes
• A high level of competency with Xero or similar software
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or in a similar field such as Commerce/Finance.
