Assistant Accountant

The Company
This is an opportunity for you to join one a growing retail giant in Sydney market. As a result of a number of acquisitions they are looking for an Accountant to support the team on a temp to perm basis.
 
The Role
This role is diverse and hands-on. 
You will be responsible for:

• Monthly reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts
• Month End Close
• process cash receipting to revenue journals 
• Prepare and input general ledger journals
• Daily payment allocation and reconciliation
• Prepare monthly gross margin reviews
• Be a business partner to Store Managers
• Prepare reports for the Finance Directors
• Accruals and Journals posting
• Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
• Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process

About You
You are a quick thinking, reliable Accountant with experience gained in the Retail/Property or Aged Care industry. You are looking to progress with your qualification as a CA or CPA.
Ideally, you would have a couple of years’ experience in a similar role with some commercial experience.
