The role is to perform assistant accountant requirements (including some financial transaction processing) for the Finance/other departments and to provide support to the CFO and Senior Financial Accountant in the preparation of McLean Delmo Bentleys financial reporting.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone with;

  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • high attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office including Excel (medium/advanced level essential); MYOB AE/other MYOB accounting packages
  • the ability to work to deadlines
  • Experience in a similar role essential
  • Bachelor Degree in an Accounting discipline (desired, but not essential)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Key duties of the role are;

Accounts Payable

  • Upload payments into banking software.
  • Second approver of payments in banking software.
  • AP filing.
  • Initiating payment runs weekly
  • Monitoring creditors sub-ledger in Excel

Accounts Receivable

  • Process client receipts in accounting system.
  • Banking cheques at local bank branch.
  • Daily/Weekly receipt reporting to business.
  • Process client credit receipts in Payway system.

Bank Trust Account – reconcile and reporting

  • Preparation of reconciliations and reporting got Bank Trust Accounts

Month End Reporting– Financials

  • Preparation of monthly finance reports (P&L, B/S) for small entity , including balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Preparation of reconciliations and coding for corporate credit card statements.
  • Assist with month end processes
  • Assist Senior Financial Accountant with preparation of monthly finance reports for three other entities

Other duties

  • Filing (finance related and other as required)
  • Attending to other general daily administration requirements
  • Petty cash and cab vouchers – custodian and distribute cash
  • Debt collection administration requirements
