Assistant Accountant

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our team at Kelly Tarlton’s SEA LIFE Aquarium.This role is a full-time, 6-month contract opportunity.

About The Role

Your role will provide support in the preparation of month end financial information and the execution of financial accounting functions and support to our Financial Controller.  In this role you will prepare and post month end journals, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, review cost centre / general ledger reports to investigate and correct unusual variances and complete other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be confident, professional, hard-working and a great problem solver. This is a high paced and interactive environment therefore to be successful you would have excellent time management and multi-tasking skills and thrive on working to deadlines. You will demonstrate and enjoy working independently and within a team.

With a hands-on attitude, you enjoy being part of a team and have excellent communication and computer literacy. You will have a great eye for detail and will have had previous experience in a similar role. Experience working with Navision and HFM is desired but not essential.
