About the role
As the Assistant Accountant, you will be providing complex finance, accounting and business support to the Finance group. This role works within the Business Support Accounting team particularly supporting the Seniors Living business area. Operationally, your day-to-day duties will encompass preparing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, subsidiary system transfer data and nominated expense accounts; prepare and post standing, general and accrual journals as part of the reconciliation and month end accounting processes.
You will also provide accounting and business support to the team including preparing budgets, records and statements; reporting and assisting in accounting projects. As an integral member of this team, you will assist in the preparation of monthly and annual reporting in addition to assisting with ad hoc enquiries and reports.
You describe yourself as efficient and are able to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail. You have well developed communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You are looking for a role that will enable you to contribute to a positive, supportive team culture in a busy and varied environment. It is essential that you can demonstrate experience working collaboratively as part of a team under broad direction, exercising discretion and applying sound judgement in the performance of duties, with experience for a minimum four years experience in business/financial management. Ideally you will have had some exposure with a not-for-profit organisation.

Total remuneration for this position is $73, 500 plus super plus salary sacrificing benefits.
