Assistant Accountant

Your role focus will be:

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Finance Team, your role will provide assistance in the day-to-day accounting functions of the business and the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting.

This position will provide opportunities to learn and grow your skills in a changing and growing business environment within a dynamic industry. You will utilise your ambition, drive and self-motivation to make a difference to the Finance function of Trapeze Asia Pacific which incorporates companies across Australia, India, Singapore, Middle East and Africa.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial and management accounts within stringent timelines.
• Assist in the preparation of balance sheet and inter-company reconciliations across multiple entities and multiple currencies.
• Maintain the fixed asset register on a monthly basis for each entity.
• Assist with Cashflow management across multiple countries and currencies.
• Assist with Accounts Payable processing including expense allocation, project costing and weekly payment runs.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable processing including invoicing and customer collections.
• Assist with the preparation of fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
• Assist in the preparation of BAS and PAYG lodgments.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of Payroll Tax, Workers Compensation and superannuation according to legislative requirements.

You, our ideal Candidate will possess:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Commerce.
• 1-2 years’ Financial Accounting experience.
• Sound business acumen with an ability to learn, problem solve and contribute to driving improvements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong time management skills.
