Assistant Accountant

Due to increased workload in the finance function, this organisation is searching for an Assistant Accountant who has a proven and solid background in a similar position, looking for career development and to join a supportive and busy team environment.

Working within this large team you will responsible for assisting two Accountants with the following duties:

• Preparation of Monthly Management Reports
• Provide commentary on monthly variances
• Review of General Ledger Journals
• Including - standing journals/accruals/amortisation/reallocation/general ledger journals prepared by Assistant Accountants
• Ensure Monthly and Year to Date Budgets are linked correct.
• Presentation of Monthly Management Reports with meaningful commentary
• Complete Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations as directed
• Provide detailed analysis of monthly reconciliations
• Complete coding of all overhead invoice on daily basis
• Fixed Asset Register

This role will appeal to a self-motivated individual that thrives in a fast paced environment. Ideally you will possess or be studying towards a CA/CPA qualification and have proven and solid assistant accounting experience, and although you are hands on and happy to take on any responsibilities, you are also looking to take on a new challenge within a thriving organisation.

You will also have the ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines with a keen eye for detail, clear and confident communication skills and the desire to learn and progress in your Accounting career.
