Supporting the CFO & Company Secretary

  • CBD location, parking available
  • Casual appointment, minimum 2 days / week
  • $75 / hour + super (incl casual loading)

The Role

The position of part time Assistant Company Secretary has recently become vacant.  The aim of the role is to take away the administration and compliance tasks from the CFO (and Company Secretary), freeing him up to focus on the finance & technology portfolios, leadership and business strategy.  Working closely with him, you will be primarily:

  • Coordinating Director & Committee meetings
  • Preparing Board & Committee agendas, & taking minutes
  • Meeting ASIC obligations
  • Maintaining relevant registers & policies
  • Ensuring financial & regulatory compliance

You

The role requires some flexibility around working hours, with peak times in the lead up to and around Board meetings, and reduced working hours in between Board meetings.  We’re looking for an immediate starter, ideally a registered Company Secretary with experience in corporate governance and compliance.  Comfortable working with a variety of senior stakeholders and executives, your written and verbal communications must be of the highest order.  In addition to being technically proficient, other essential attributes include maturity, discretion and trustworthiness with great attention to detail.  You’ll need to be highly organised, comfortable juggling a number of priorities simultaneously, and able to anticipate requirements.
