In Australia

Bank of China Limited Sydney Branch was established in 1942 and was the first Chinese bank to establish operations in Australia. Since resuming banking operations in Australia in 1985, Bank of China, (including Bank of China Limited and Bank of China (Australia) Limited) has dedicated itself to promoting the Australia-China trade and economic relationship. Building on decades of local market financial experience and expertise, Bank of China has built a fast and highly efficient global service network supplying a diversified range of financial products. Bank of China offers a comprehensive range of financial products, and to date is the only Chinese bank operating in Australia holding a licence to deal with both retail and wholesale customers.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist to assess and recommend to management the level of risk tolerance that is appropriate to the Bank alongside the management strategy
  • Assist to the execution of the bank banking book market risk related procedures
  • Assist to the execution of the identification, measurement, reporting, monitoring and control of banking book market risk related risk management work
  • Assist to the analytical reporting, including regular reports, reports to head office and internal reports
  • Assist to perform analysis into the drivers of changes in risk profiles and the remediation plan
  • Comply with all relevant law, regulation, code and standard, and maintain and develop necessary levels of professional skills and current knowledge to excel in compliance duties

Required Skills/Experience: 

  • Minimum 2 years Finance/Accounting experience
  • Degree in Finance/Accounting or related
  • Knowledge of non-performing loans and debt recovery work
  • Ability to develop detail plans and organise a variety of tasks and projects to achieve goals
  • Ability to use effective questioning techniques to understand customer needs
  • Excellent communication skills in both Mandarin & English
  • Candidates must have PR or NZ/ Australian Citizenship

Highly Regarded Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in one of the big 4 banks in Australia
  • CFA/CPA/FRM preferred
