Our Banking and Accounts Officer is responsible for ensuring smooth, accurate and timely delivery response to internal staff and client email queries. The role is focused on achieving the key responsibilities of the Banking and Accounts function, such as assisting in processing deposits and withdrawals and supporting the broader finance team as needed.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring daily manual funding methods are applied to clients’ accounts within a timely manner
  • Processing deposits and withdrawals on a daily basis
  • Liaising with the bank and third-party providers
  • Monitoring and responding to the main inbox and other avenues of client inquires to ensure clients are responded to in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintaining and updating our company Knowledge Base
  • Performing checks prior to processing payments, including AML, Fraud, Banned Countries & Market Risk
  • Monitoring fraudulent transactions and taking action on clients’ transactions as per Pepperstone's compliance policy
  • Escalating identified or suspected AML and Fraud to the Team Leader and Compliance Team
  • Supporting the Finance team to complete reconciliations & other ad-hoc requests
  • Maintaining a working approach of continuous improvement and highlighting ideas at Banking and Accounts Team meetings
  • Processing monthly fee transfers

  • Strong problem-solving skills and dedicated to continuous process improvements
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Desire and commitment to ongoing learning and development
  • Knowledge and understanding of the banking and accounts systems (highly desired)
  • Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or related areas of study is preferred, but not essential
