Biomedical Service Engineer

  • Full time career opportunity for a Biomedical Service Engineer;
  • Must have a Electrical or Biomedical Engineering Degree;
  • Minum 2 years experience in the Biomedical Engineering;

Objectives of this Role

You will be responsible for carrying out functional tests, diagnose faults and do repairs on electrical, electronic equipment at both in-house and on site.

Responsibilities

  • Approves new equipment by conducting tests, ensuring adherence to codes and making modifications;
  • Ordering of spare parts, cost estimates;
  • Carry out field services;
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, conducting tests and troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions.
  • Manage calls for special equipment service, evaluates service contracts and maintains equipment inventories.
  • Evaluates proposed equipment by conducting tests and evaluations.
  • Provide technical service and repairs to in-house and onsite customers including equipment maintenance, QA control and service support including telephone/email support
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Prepares biomedical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains clients confidence by keeping them in the loop of your progress.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety tests, recommending and complying with procedures, training and guidance;

Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in electronics, electrical engineering or biomedical engineering with electrical major is essential.
  • Preferable to have knowledge in of biomedical equipment in a Hospital environment
  • The ability to read and understand detailed schematics & the ability to carry out fine electronic and mechanical repairs including complex soldering tasks
  • Must have a current valid drivers licence

Work Rights & Salary

Must have Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship;

Salary ($75,000 - $89,000 + Company Car) negotiable depending on experience;
