Company Name: Thompson Wentworth
Job Location: New Zealand, New Zealand, Canterbury, Christchurch, christchurchcentral
Employment Status: Full Time
Our business serves community titled owners across the South Island. This community of body corporates and incorporated societies consume a range of property and asset management services from both our internal business lines and as well as our external market supply chain partners in valuation, asset protection & risk management (insurance), accountancy, grounds maintenance (gardening and landscaping) and built environment compliance and maintenance management services (annual building warrants of fitness, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry & roof maintenance, cleaning and custodial and security services etc).
The body corporate management workflow is structured, sequential, time bound and regulated by the Unit Titles Act 2011 (UTA) and accompanying Unit Titles Regulations 2012. The financial administration support to this workflow is undertaken routinely (daily, weekly and monthly) across each individual body corporate’s financial reporting period.
We are pursuing an aggressive digital strategy in terms of improved service delivery platforms, quality of service and operational efficiency. The business deploys a specific industry best practice software platform that supports the UTA workflow.
Our Body Corporate Service supports its clients by allocating them a specific Account Manager. The Body Corporate Financial Administrator supports the account management channels with accurate and timely financial information and administration (budgeting, revenue and expenditure reporting and creditor and debtor management & banking administrative support).

With this in mind you may be a post graduate student with an interest in bringing your commerce-based skills to an asset management and commercial environment. You may be an experienced practitioner in financial services (accounting, insurance or funds management), or general business sector, or perhaps one of the landed professions (valuation, property management, and or facilities management). Critically you will have intermediate to advanced capabilities in operating contemporary business management tools on the micro-soft operating platform (word, xl, powerpoint etc.), cloud-based information and databases and document access, storage and management systems. You will care about the detail, be able to work independently and naturally (habitually) in a quality driven manner and be accountable for your outputs and the value creation “outcomes” that you bring to the business and our clients.
