About us

Our firm and associated businesses have now grown to a point where we require a full time legal bookkeeper / accounts administration. We require an experienced and accomplished person with a strong bookkeeping and computer background who can overlook this part of the business.The position requires skills and experience in bookkeeping, accounting, law firm billing and Xero software as well as Microsoft Office Products. The position requires experience in a law or other professional service firm environment.

Qualifications & experience

 

  • Must have completed at least a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or a Certificate IV in Accounting.
  • Must have at least 2+ years bookkeeping experience as a full-charge bookkeeper with responsibilities including client billing in a law or professional service firm environment.
  • Must have experience with law firm billing or other professional service firm and accounting software (i.e. LEAP or Action Step) as well as Microsoft Office Products.
  • Must have experience in XERO.
  • Must possess strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Professional appearance and manner.

  • Trust & Office accounting
  • Disbursements
  • Payroll
  • Conducting daily banking activities
  • Processing payments
  • Producing various financial reports
  • Perform all bookkeeping functions
  • Preparation of BAS's
  • Coordination with the firm's accountants
