About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper or Accountant to join our small business located in the northern suburbs. The role will be responsible for the day to day financial operations of the business. the position is offered as a casual role working 2-3 days per week. Candidates must be available for extra hours during peak times and to cover leave.

Your duties will include:

  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • End to End Payroll
  • Superannuation Payments
  • Workcover Payments and Reconciliation
  • Maintaining employee files
  • Record Keeping
  • Bank/credit card reconciliation
  • ATO reporting including preparation of BAS
  • Data Entry
  • Other office administration duties as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proficient in the use of MYOB Accounting
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • High level attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi task and work under pressure in a deadline driven environment
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work unsupervised and show initiative
  • Strong people skills and an excellent telephone manner
  • high ability to retain new information

Salary will be negotiated based on experience.

Experience within the civil construction industry or local government environment would be looked upon favourably
