Bookkeeper - Immediate Start

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and self-motivated bookkeeper to join our team.

Our team are focused on performing all tasks to the highest standard and providing excellent communication with our clients, their staff, and their advisors. We support our clients with a wide range of tasks including processing operational transactions, payroll, HR, lodgements, and other compliance tasks both throughout the year and at the end of the financial year. 

THE ROLE:

This position is a flexible role starting with up to 15 hours per week & gradually increasing as workloads increase. We have a team member taking maternity leave later in 2021 so initially, you will be trained in our processes to assist our team prior to this time, and hours will increase to cover some tasks during the period of maternity leave taken. As our business continues to grow, there is the possibility of maintaining or increasing hours once the maternity leave period concludes.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Payroll
  • Bank and account reconciliations
  • Super stream lodgement
  • Client interaction
  • General administration and office duties

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 2 years of current experience using MYOB is essential and not negotiable. 
  • Working experience with Xero preferred but not essential
  • Current Payroll knowledge and processing abilities
  • Strong skills in using Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Team player with a positive can-do attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both clients and colleagues
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to think logically
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently (as well as in solitude as required)
  • Honest and reliable

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work across a variety of client files. If you have strong basic skills, and are able to work efficiently and effectively, we will invest in your advanced training.

Above award rates will be paid to a deserving employee.

You will be required to work during June/July school holidays and extra hours as required at the EOFY.

BONUS: Casual dress is appropriate most work days. Scope for some flexibility with working hours/days. A deserving employee, who consistently demonstrates the appropriate skill set, may be given the flexibility to work remotely on nominated days.
