THE COMPANY

This established Bookkeeping business that offers bookkeeping and consulting services to small and medium sized businesses and works with clients from varying industries seeks a committed Bookkeeper/Accounts Clerk to join their busy team in Tullamarine.

This is a very friendly small office and they want someone who would fit into the team.

THE POSITION

This position is perfect for the self-motivated bookkeeper or someone who has worked in the industry and wants to learn more. Offering variety and the ability to be trained in bookkeeping this position will see you completing all accounts/bookkeeping tasks and a variety of administrative duties. This is a full-time permanent position, training will be provided.

Typically, your duties will entail:

  • Full function accounts payable
  • Full function accounts receivable
  • Payroll
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with month end
  • Adhoc duties

For the right individual this position will also provide the opportunity to grow even further and be trained in debt collection and other higher end bookkeeping functions working with our senior bookkeepers and accountants. Administrative duties in this position will include answering the phones, filing, dealing with suppliers and customers and other adhoc administrative duties required for the office.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

This bookkeeping business offers a personalised service to each client and therefore seeks a candidate with these very same qualities. This positions requires a switched-on individual who is able to pick things up quickly and will ideally suit a candidate that is willing to learn and enjoy being trained by the team. Or a candidate that enjoys numbers and client liaison and is willing to undertake a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Traineeship.

The ideal candidate must possess the following;

  • Previous working experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • Exposure to Xero preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Computer literate and able to pick up new software easily
  • Punctual with attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking capability
  • A committed team player with excellent interpersonal and team skills
