Southern Cross Care (Tas) Inc. (SCC), Tasmania’s largest aged care provider has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst in our Finance team. The Business Analyst supports the preparation and monitoring of budgets and provides financial insights that help in decision-making processes. The role is responsible for developing analysis and modelling that utilises financial and non-financial data from various sources to identify trends and variances to assist with making informed decisions relating to SCC’s financial management and performance.
The Role
This is a newly created position and will require a bit of creativity and agility to take the role in the right direction. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, the Business Analyst will assist with the development of budgets and monitoring of financial performance. While the role is part of the Finance team, the Business Analyst will work with other business units to support them in achieving budget outcomes and identifying improvements in resource management.
The Person
We are seeking a tertiary qualified individual with demonstrated experience in the provision of data analysis and/ or financial modelling and/or relevant experience and with the ability to build strong working relationships and influence key stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of outcomes. But most importantly, we are seeking someone with well-developed self-management and organisational skills, including the capacity to work under pressure with competing priorities and the ability to work well with others in the pursuit of organisational goals.
