Business Services & Advisory - Advisor

This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Services Accountant to develop their career in a leading Accounting and Business Advisory firm. Our clients range from family groups, privately held businesses to ASX listed institutions.
Reporting directly to the Managers and Partner (Kurt Baker), you will assist in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and finding appropriate solutions for client’s needs. Your remit will cover a mix of special projects, outsource and compliance for some of the firms larger clients, which includes a ~$500M family office and international pharmaceutical provider.
Key responsibilities
Preparation of accounts & tax returns to review stage.
Preparing financial statements (tier 1, 2 RDR and special purpose).
Develop an understanding of indirect taxes such as fringe benefits tax, payroll tax, sales tax and stamp duties.
Develop an understanding of indirect taxes and check or prepare return for fringe benefits tax, payroll tax, land tax and stamp duty.
Update Work in Progress reports.
Liaise with clients initially by telephone and portal, and face to face in the foreseeable future.
Complete timesheet daily.
Requirements
Approximately two years’ experience in professional practice.
Experience completing financial statements, income tax returns, business activity statements and fringe benefits tax returns.
Experience working to a budget and meeting productivity targets.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple jobs and work to competing deadlines.
Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
