This well respected CA firm is known for being innovative, forward thinking and successful.  They have a strong reputation as trusted Business Advisors with a history of providing innovative solutions grounded in technical accounting expertise to clients to help grow successful businesses.  This firm is operating across three service lines; Business Advisory, Process Optimisation and Digital Transformation. 

My client has been experiencing significant growth in recent years, particularly in the advisory area such as business structures, cashflow, budgeting, help with systems etc.  Approximately 60% of their clients are on Xero and the remainder are on MYOB. This firms feels that their clients perceive them to be trustworthy, dependable, down to earth, authentic, genuine, progressive, caring, honest and to have integrity. My client keeps abreast of new technology and the modern environment.  They provide training to keep themselves up to date professionally. 

The Role

Initially around 80% of the role will be compliance work as you settle into the role and firm, then this role will evolve to include advisory work. 

The Business Advisory team is looking for a Senior Accountant with a high level of technical tax expertise who is wanting to pursue a career in a rapidly changing industry and to be part of a business that is growing and evolving.

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for assisting Managers and Directors with complex Accounting and Advisory engagements which will include the preparation of annual financial statements, management accounts, cashflow statements and tax returns as well as involvement in tax planning and other ad hoc business advisory projects.  You will also be responsible for the client management of a portfolio of clients for which you will be required to engage in effective business and systems advisory conversations, manage workflow, tax administration matters and systems migrations for and complete end of year accounts for in entirety.  There will be opportunities to progress in management skills by working with and training graduates and intermediate accountants.

 

Skills and Experience needed

Minimum of 3 years BAS experience in a well reputed NZ CA firm and be fully qualified.

Strong technical and tax skills.

Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to look for opportunities to add value to clients.

Technologically savvy particularly in using Xero and MYOB.

Remuneration is approximately $75K pa depending on experience for a 40 hour week plus car park.
