A leading Australian business in a high growth market, we are currently looking for a commercial Chief Financial Officer to join them as they enter a period of planned growth. This business has passed the initial inception phase and now has ambitious plans to continue its double-digit growth through the raising of funds & M&A.
Position
Reporting directly into the Chief Executive Officer, you will join the executive leadership team and provide outstanding service delivery to a number of internal and external stakeholders through the effective management of a multi-disciplinary team, covering finance and business strategy
You will play a key role and be the lead on M&A activities whilst working with a savvy, commercial astute leadership team and board. You will lead technology and process improvement projects re-engineering status quo and build a capable team with future growth in mind. You will drive value with the operation heads on new and existing revenue opportunities.
The key responsibilities of this role are to drive the financial performance of the business and to lead during a period of significant change. This will include acting as a business partner to the executive team. You will take ownership of driving the strategy, working on new business initiatives and for achieving long term value creation for the organisation. Another key deliverable for this role is building out the finance function and ensuring the systems and processes are fit for purpose.
Profile
The successful candidate will be a Big4 qualified Chartered Accountant and performance driven CFO with 10+ years post CA qualified experience with an impressive track record of achievement in a complex organisation (Ideally ASX listed). You will be highly ambitious and understand the challenges of delivering a business strategy and plans in an uncertain landscape. You will have proven experience of taking organisations through large scale transformation and be effective at leading and managing change, be commercially minded with a good grasp of key financial drivers and strong contract management skills.
We are seeking a well-rounded leader who will enjoy delivering on wider corporate business objectives and priorities. You will need to have a strong work ethic, be driven to succeed and have the ability to lead, inspire and engage a large multi-disciplinary team of highly engaged people.
Salary c$300,000 to $350,000 + super + STI pending experience. You will be a key part of a down to earth and genuine organisation. The business is very well positioned to make the most of the excellent opportunities that are ahead.
