This is a full-time maximum term position for 12 months located at Perth, Head Office.

 

About the Role:

 

This role is accountable for the effective and efficient management of claims involving Western Power’s assets through to finalisation / resolution in a timely manner. This could involve cost recoveries involving third party damage to assets and claims as a result of incidents or events impacting the network.

Provides coaching, training and technical support to team members and other functions on claims management issues to ensure Western Power operates an efficient, prudent and customer service centric claims management process.

 

About you:

 

The successful applicant will be experienced and competent in the following:

 

  • At least 4 + years demonstrated experience in commercial liability, corporate insurance, insurance broking, legal or commercial background with insurance/claims knowledge
  • Good understanding of regulations and governance requirements in dealing with claims
  • Ability to maintain focus, remain calm and deal with volatile situations
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving and report writing skills
  • Demonstrable business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collate, analyse and present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Law or related discipline
