Our Engineering Construction division provides large scale, multidisciplinary project management and construction services through multiple, specialised business units.

From concept to completion, we deliver solutions for major construction projects through all phases of development for the iron ore, coal, minerals processing, energy, infrastructure, marine and renewables markets. This full-time position could suit a Senior Project Accountant / Analyst / Engineer with accounting skills (or similar) looking to take the next step in their career.

Your main objective will be to lead the finance and project controls function of engineering and construction projects. This role supports on-site project teams from our Milton branch. Essentially, you will be the main conduit between the Project and the business unit, supported by an excellent team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial management, reporting and administrative processes across assigned projects

• Lead the project controls function for project (s) including cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis / control

• Take the lead in preparing and analysing project performance and assessing financial risk for the projects (s)

• Work closely with Management & project teams

• Manage governance and compliance with company minimum standards processes.

• Analyse & apply financial, economic & market data to make recommendations to enhance project excellence & maximise profit

What you will bring

• Highly developed Excel Skills

• Proficient in Earned Value Management knowledge & application

• Budget Development experience

• E7 knowledge and experience preferred

• Highly developed financial management & reporting experience across projects

• Highly developed Project Controls experience (cost analysis / control, cost engineering, cost estimating)

• Accounting degree highly regarded

• Good Systems knowledge (JDE, EcoSys & Candy) desirable

• Experience in dealing with multiple currency contracts & Joint ventures desirable

• Exposure to contracts administration & claims

• Knowledge of Primavera P6 or equivalent desirable
