Company Overview

Our client, a successful private company, is in its 10th year of operation and has been experiencing significant growth year on year. Its entrepreneurial owner is pushing for further expansion into new markets and improved service offerings, thus a Company Accountant is needed to take strategic control of the company's finances and to advise the Managing Director with decision making on its growth plans.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, your brief will include:-

  • Leading the Finance function for the business;
  • Financial due diligence, including all options available to the firm in pursuing the growth targets in its business plan;
  • Monthly management reporting and presentation of results to MD;
  • Continuous improvement of systems appropriate to business growth and direction;
  • "Hands-on" accounting processing
  • Developing and strengthening relationships with banks and auditors;
  • Managing the Compliance and Risk Management processes; and
  • Developing and mentoring a Finance Team of two staff to ensure succession planning and professional development of staff.

The Ideal Candidate

Mature-minded, commercially experienced Accountant with formal qualifications and a minimum of three years' experience at the supervisory level. They will have a commitment to timeframes and be comfortable and accustomed to working with minimal supervision.
