This is a fixed-term Education & Learning project position aligned to the transformational CA X Program, reporting to the Program Design Lead, CA X based in our Sydney office. This role has primary responsibility to manage the design, development and delivery of a stream of subjects in CA X, on time, on budget and to our expected quality standards.
The CA X Program is a critical program of work seeking to transform the current CA Program and business operating model, providing a significant uplift in the member value proposition.
CA X will be a prestigious and rigorous program utilising leading edge and emerging practices to create CA professionals equipped with the 'work-ready' skills demanded by business and employers. Our accounting graduates will be regarded as strategic talent and known for their versatility and ability to learn and adapt as rapidly as industry, business and employers evolve.
This is a fixed term full time contract ending in June 2021. The succesful candidate will ideally be located in either Sydney or Melbourne but we will also consider applicants from New Zealand.
The Opportunity
Managing the topic and content inputs including design of the core and elective approach for a stream of CA X program subjects
Working with project and program management to determine the appropriate flow of work through each individual subject team to enable asset production to be completed efficiently, effectively and to required timelines.
Ensuring a smooth flow of work through the subject stream team and into other production areas
Developing content, in addition to overseeing the development of all content for the stream, including the CSG
Effectively establishing and managing a high performing team culture, setting performance standards and developing individual and team capabilities
Ensuring that all content assets for stream subjects are fit for purpose, meet our rigorous quality standards, and are able to be operationalized in the delivery phase.
Selecting, engaging and briefing appropriate subject matter experts, technical reviewers and learning designers to develop discrete pieces of work based on the agreed project plan and deliverables.
Providing feedback to engaged authors, technical reviewers and learning designers.
Working with the learning design team to design the appropriate assessment methodology based on the learning or performance outcome required for each subject, as outlined in the Subject Design Documents
Leading and developing assessment activities, methods and tools including rubrics/marking criteria, marking strategies and assessor tools to support implementation of assessment strategies.
Working collaboratively with identified SMEs to ensure assessments are fit for purpose and measure the achievement of learning outcomes.
Ensuring assessments are fit for purpose, measure the achievement of learning outcomes and appropriate.
Managing the engagement of academic and/or market partners, and providing advice on best practice opportunities to license content or partner with other market providers within the overarching learning design framework
Great To have
(5 years desired) Teaching and learning experience in the Australian higher education sector or corporate training environment
(minimum 5 years) Professional experience in accounting
A history of designing and developing technical learning materials, including assessments
effective people management across the employment lifecycle from recruitment, appointment, workload allocation, induction and orientation, setting performance standards, and professional development
Academic qualification in education is highly valued
CA or member of GAA body
Master's degree in business or other relevant discipline (or equivalent through professional experience)
