The Opportunity What you will be involved in If successful, you will work to build, lead and develop a team of Contract professionals’ commercial acumen and ability to achieve excellence. You would ensure effective and efficient functioning of the team by performing the following duties, but not limited to : About you You are an experienced Contracts professional with proven ability to lead a team, establish and maintain excellent communication and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. An understanding and knowledge of commercial contracts, operational contract management procedures and contract law coupled with a clear understanding of ethical practices and probity within a large organisation is considered essential for this position. The ideal candidate for this role would be communicating effectively across a broad portfolio where stakeholders have different objectives and levels of expertise in contract management to ensure that policies, procedures and standards are consistent across the board. You are be a collaborator by nature with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders using strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Management of the Contract through effective contract management, correspondence management, including milestones, claims, notices/letters and flow down of contract amendments would set you up for success. We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.
We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.
Transport for NSW is delivering an unprecedented $72.2b investment into a truly game changing Future Transport strategy. We are also evolving, bringing together new and existing transport modes, cutting edge technologies and getting smarter at how we do it. We are changing to deliver more connected journeys, greater satisfaction and safer transport for our customers, both now and for the future.
We have an opportunity for 2 Contract managers to join us in the Commercial & Contract Management Team within the Customer Strategy and Technology division. In these newly created roles, you would be responsible for leading the management of contracts, and act as the main point of contact in the ongoing management of commercial arrangements facilitated through reliable supplier and internal stakeholder relationships, to ensure compliance with agreements, to protect the interests of TfNSW and to effectively resolve contractual issues.
