Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation:
Working for us at RNO will enable career development, whilst being exposed to one of the worlds' most complex mineral processing facilities. RNO process plant is the most complex hydro-metallurgical system outside of an oil and gas plant. Becoming expert in its operation will give you skills that very few others in the world possess.
This role is offered on a Monday to Friday work pattern 5:2:4:3 roster, residential in Hopetoun with relocation services and rent free company housing.
The purpose of this position is to assist in the control and management of a range of
accounting activities at the mine site.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide assistance in the monitoring of costs for departments and participate in regular cost reviews with departmental Supervisors, Superintendents and Managers
Provide assistance with weekly, monthly and annual reporting and forecasting requirements of departments
Preparation of forecasts/budget analysis reports including variance analysis and identification of key cost drivers
Provide assistance with valuation of inventories including stockpiles and work in progress
Administer and record site petty cash
Maintain and administer site equipment registrations
Participate in department process improvement projects
Perform any other duties as requested by your supervisor
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar
Membership of a professional accounting body or working towards designation
A commitment to continuous improvement with respect to management reporting systems and accounting methods to improve existing procedures
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience with Pronto and Hyperion (HFM) software will be highly regarded, but is not essential
